Carlisle City staved off a late Crook Town fightback in a top of the table clash that sees them leapfrog their rivals into first place.
Dan Kirkup and Kieron Kerr gave the Sky Blues a two-goal lead at half-time, but Crook struck back with 10 minutes left to give spectators a grandstand finish in County Durham.
The visitors held on to secure a huge three points that put them back on top of the Northern League’s second tier.
A surprise 3-1 win for Chester le Street at 10-man West Allotment put an end to Celtic’s impressive recent run.
The hosts went ahead after three minutes when Michael Baxter gave them the lead but the Cestrians fired back - and the damage was done by half-time with Liam Dixon bagging a brace and Owen Henderson also getting on the scoresheet.
Elsewhere, Easington Colliery battered Esh Winning 7-0 on home soil to maintain their own pressure at the top of the table. The result leaves them joint-second with Crook and just a point behind the new leaders.
