Ryton & Crawcrook Albion fell to a frustrating 2-1 defeat at home to Redcar Town on Wednesday in the Ebac Northern League Division 2, the visitors snatching a stoppage-time winner.

Ryton went ahead after just two minutes through Dillon Blake and had some glorious chances throughout the game but goals from Carl Williams, at the beginning of the second half, and Sam Webster, at the end, secured all three points for the visitors.

The defeat - a third on home soil this term- leaves Albion 4th in the standings going into three away games. Dan Iredale's men face Tow Law Town on Saturday, Billingham Synthonia next Wednesday and Bedlington Terriers on the following Saturday.
