We take a look at our recent history on the opening day of the season... and against Saturday's visitors Heaton Stannington!
Kingsley Park welcomes fans back officially for the first time in NINE months when the 21/22 campaign kicks off against Heaton Stannington on Saturday.
The last competitive fixture Albion played was a resounding 5-1 triumph over Washington back in October, a result that glossed over a disappointing campaign that was ultimately cut short due to coronavirus.
Now, with fresh faces both on the pitch and in the dugout, a new-look RACA outfit goes into the new season backed by a real sense of optimism among supporters following a promising pre-season schedule.
But how has the club fared on the opening day in recent times?
We thought we would delve into the Albion archives…

August 4, 2018 - Billingham 4-1 RACA
A Craig Hutchinson hat-trick made it a day to forget on Teesside as Albion slumped to an opening day battering against Billingham.
